President's Message

November 2019

The 2019 beekeeping season is in the past and I hope everyone has
their colonies ready for what appears, may be a colder than normal winter.
We will all see next spring, how well your winter prep was.
This month we will start the meeting with a wrap up of the
100th banquet results. I think everyone will be surprised , and of course
we welcome your input. We will (NOT) meet early this month in the
bee yard because temps are going to be too cold, but we will have
Randy, Gene or John give any updates or changes made to the bee yard
since last meeting.
This month’s speaker will be Don Zikursh from Mentor teaching a class
on the art of making mead. If you are ALREADY A MEAD MAKER Don
can help with any question you may have about this growing hobby.
We are having our annual Chili Cook Off with generous prizes for
winners, more information about this, in this month’s Buzz by
Audrey. Remember winter weather may affect our regular meetings
keep your eye on LCBA, Facebook and Website for information if concerned,
we very seldom cancel meetings but you never
know. Nominations close at this month’s meeting for officers and one
trustee if you are interested or want to nominate someone please feel
free to do so, we always need new people and new ideas to continue to
grow LCBA.
