Notes: Foundation acceptance appeared equal in all types.   Brood patterns were evaluated as good to excellent in all hives.
Foundation acceptance testing was accomplished using Golden Italian, and Carneolan Honey Bees.  Bees were 2 1/2 lb. packages installed on new, undrawn foundation and placed in an existing apiary, fed a sugar solution equally between all hives.   Hive ages vary: Hive(1)=30 days+, (2)=30 days, (3)=30 days -, (4)=30 days -, (5)=21 days +/-, (6)=21 days +/-, (7)= 21 days.
